The Los Angeles beat scene has been steadily bubbling, getting more and more difficult to overlook with each passing season. With a serious well of talent & support, LA stays producing some of the world’s most vibrant devotees of low end rumple. Free The Robots is one of the latest to rise to the surface, though producer Chris Alfaro has been doing his thing for years in LA, releasing several singles & EPs in conjunction with Gaslamp Killer, Obey, Jazz & Milk, etc. Ctl Alt Delete is his debut full length (out now on Daddy Kev’s essential Alpha Pup records), and he’ll be coming by Worldwide Smash this week to impose his bass-heavy vision on the airwaves.
Then on Friday we have the official NYC album release party at the loft above Public Assembly in Williamsburg, and I’m on the bill for that one too, so it’s going to be a weekend of skull rattlers. Grab “Orion’s Belt Buckle” for a glimpse of the mayhem in store.
